Dr. Castella attended the University of Toronto under a full Dean’s Scholarship (Academic). Dr. Castella graduated from the University of Toronto Dental School with Honors and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1991. For the following year, he served as a dental resident at the Toronto Western Hospital. After a year of private and hospital dental practice in New Liskeard and Brampton, Ontario, Dr. Castella was accepted into the Graduate Orthodontic Program at Temple University, Philadelphia. Dr. Castella graduated with Honors at the top of his class with a Specialty Degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and a Master of Science in Dentistry Degree in 1995.
Dr. Castella is a proud Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is also registered with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario as a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics, and holds dental and orthodontic licenses to practice in Michigan and New Hampshire.
Dr. Castella has been a Certified Invisalign® Provider since 1997.
Continuing education is essential for orthodontists, and Dr. Castella is committed to regularly participating in continuing education opportunities. It is important to Dr. Castella that he is able to offer his patients the most advanced orthodontic treatments available.

In his spare time, Dr. Castella enjoys combining his passion for traveling along with serving the less fortunate by doing volunteer dental mission trips around the world. He also enjoys, kite surfing, computers, road biking, and photography.
